Sarah Cowger came to Marion Co Ohio with her Uncles Noah Cowger, Emanuel Trumbo (Hannah E. Cowger) and Shobe Judy (husband of Amelia R. Cowger). They came by covered wagon in 1856. The trip took five weeks.

Mrs. Sarah Catherine Cowger Sager, widow of Benjamin F. Sager, died Friday night at 10:40 o'clock at her home four miles south of LaRue, in Bowling Green township. The cause of death was pneumonia and the infirmities of age. Mrs. Sager's death occurred on the farm on which she had resided for more than sixty years.
Mrs. Sager was born April 2, 1834, to Mr. and Mrs. Abel Cowger, in Seibert,(sic) Pendleton county, West Virginia, and was a pioneer resident of Marion county. She came to this section when twenty-two years of age, with several of her Uncles, making the trip in a covered wagon. The trip overland required five weeks. The families settled in what is known as the Trumbo settlement two miles south of Agosta.
Mr. and Mrs. Sager were married in 1857 and resided south of Agosta for about 3 years. The family then moved to Bowling Green township on the farm south of LaRue. Mrs. Sager has been a member of the Baptist Church since childhood.
Mrs. Sager is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John Zieg, of Lucerne, Indiana; four sons W.A. Sager of Bowling Green township; A.F. Sager, residing on the home farm; Dr. H.W. Sager, of Marion, and Dr. E.T. Sager of Buckland, Auglaize county. A son, James D. Sager preceded the mother in death. Twenty-three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren also survive.
The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home, i charge of Dr. J.D. Darling, pastor of Wesley M.E. church, of Marion. Burial was made in the Price cemetery, S.R. Sanders, undertaker, in charge.
