Dan was born in Alabama. Married Fannie on 12 Nov. 1893 in Etowah County, Alabama. In 1900 was living in Henderson County, Texas as a Farmer. His brother Henry was living with the family. All children at that time were listed as being born in Alabama.
In 1910 The family was in Ellis, Texas with Farming still listed as his employment. Freddie, Everett, Thomas and Graden all born in Texas.
By 1920 the family was back in Alabama (Friendship, Marshall county) with the birth of one more child, Goldie. Again his employment was listed as Farming.
In 1930 He, Fannie and Goldie were living on Gallant Mountain Road in Union, Etowah, Alabama. Again working on a general farm.
In May of 1940 he was hit by a car. This hospitalized him and he had surgery for his fractured thigh and leg. He died on 21 Sept. 1940 from Chronic Nephritis due to an enlarged prostate.
On his death certificate it list he father as John Odom and mother as Unknown. He was widowed at the time.
His son Everett claimed him. I am unsure of his or Fannie's burial place. It is not listed on the death certificate- but does state that burial was in Etowah County, Alabama
