Everett Lee Odom

Everett Lee (Shorty) Odom, 52, 1136 Third Ave., died Saturday at 4:15 a.m. in a local hospital after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. from North Gadsden Baptist Church with Rev. J. O. Hogan officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest Cemetery with Collier-Butler Funeral Home directing.
Active pallbearers will be members of the Alabama Used Car Dealers Association.
The body will remain at Collier-Butler Chapel until the hour of the service.
A charter member of the West End Baptist Church, Mr. Odom was an automobile dealer and member of the Used Car Dealer's Association..
He is survived by his wife Ola Anderson Odom; one son, Leonard Odom, Gadsden; three daughters, Mrs. B. M. Epps, Gadsden, Mrs. John M Hare, Jr., Alexandria, Va., Mrs. Berry Whitten, Cheyenne, Wyo.: Four brothers, Tom Odom, New Orleans,. La. Grady Odom, Amarillo, Texas, Fred Odom, Dallas, Texas and Lonnie Odom, San Fransisco, Ca.. One sister Goldie Odom, Dallas, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
