Charles C. Lear, 63, of 36 Summit Ave., Phillipsburg, died last night.
Born in Phillipsburg, Oct. 26, 1899, he was a son of the late Sylvester and Laura Margeson Lear.
He was employed as a crane operator at the Taylor-Wharton Co. plant in Easton for 37 years until his retirement three years ago due to ill health.
He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Phillipsburg, and the United Steel Workers Local 1077.
