The cemetery has no record of his grave location; however three sources list this cemetery as his burial site: his death certificate and his two obituaries. A fourth source lists him in the Solano Co. Cemeteries, but has question marks in the column where grave location would be. It is unfortunate that my gr-grandfather has no marker or tombstone on his grave. He is most likely buried in the potter's section.

Sylvester lived in Tinicum Township in Bucks County PA until he moved to Lopatcong Township in Warren County NJ where he married Laura Augusta Margeson on July 4, 1894. They moved out west in the early 1900s where two sons were born; John Nelson Lear, my paternal grandfather, and Elwin Lear. His wife, Laura, was two months pregnant at the time of his death. She apparently returned to NJ before May 1909 when Edward, Sylvester's last child, was born.
Sylvester was a cement foreman at the Pacific Portland Cement Company in Cement CA, Solano County. According to his death certificate he lived in CA for five years.
