Ruth R. "Poody" KENDALL, 84, Argos, died 12:q5 a.m. Tuesday at her home.

Born in Argos to John and Lila ULRICH ALDERFER, she married William Henry "Hank" KENDALL on Dec. 1, 1951 in Argos. He died on Nov. 27, 1993.

Mrs. Kendall worked for Overmyer Grocery Store, Culver Military Academy and for 25 years at Grossman Funeral Home, Argos. A graduate of Culver High School, she was a 60-year member of Maxinkuckee Rebekah Lodge 844 and attended Poplar Grove United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Sheri and husband James REEVE, Pierceton; two sons, Stanley A. KENDALL, Indianapolis and Larry E. and wife Connie KENDALL, Bremen; two granddaughters, Ashley [KENDALL] and Ashton KENDALL, Argos; three step grandsons, Michael, Scott and Brian; three step granddaughters, Heather, Jennifer and Penny; two step great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and four brothers.

Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Grossman Funeral Home, Argos with the Rev. Tony SCHNEIDERS officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday or after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Maxinkuckee Rebekah Lodge 844 will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Marshall County Cancer Society, Woodlawn Home Health Care or Maxinkuckee Rebekah Lodge 844.
