Daughter of Jacob & Polly (Alcott) Vandusen of New York, Delight married Asa C. Mills in Gibson County 10 Oct 1821. They lived on Prince Street between Emerson and State streets. Her husband was a justice of the peace and county commissioner in the 1830's and 40's. Her son, Charles, took care of her after Asa died in 1847. She gave the house to Charles upon her death in 1880, then he sold it to the Howe family in 1882 before moving out west. (A log cabin dating to 1892 still sits on the property).

She was still keeping house when she died at age 74.
