Jesup, GA -Stokes Albritton, 89, died Saturday. Bacon County GA native was a lifelong resident of Wayne County, 1933 graduate of Jesup High School, where he played football.
He was employed at Alfred Dorman Company for more than 40 years. He was a member and Elder Emeritus of the Jesup Presbyterian Church and was a World War Two veteran of the U. S. Navy serving on the U.S.S. Benjamin Franklin.
Survivors: wife of 67 years, Lois Hires Albritton; son, John Stokes Albritton; a daughter, Virginia (Bill) Garlen, all of Jesup, GA; two granddaughters, four great-grandchidren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Noon to 2 p.m. Monday at Jesup Presbyterian Church. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Jesup Presbyterian Church. Interment: Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a favorite Charity of the donors choice.
