Parents: Ezekiel & Nancy (Gilmore) Buffington. Ezekiel was born 1798 or 1799 (SC) and died 1857 (Hall County, GA). Nancy was born 1802 (SC) and died some time after 1860, probably in Hall county. Their burial places are debated. Some say they are buried in unmarked graves in the Buffington Family Cemetery in Hall county. (See Find A Grave 76480341.) Others say they were buried on their property on the banks of the Chattahoochee river, now under Lake Lanier.
Note: Oborn had a cousin of the same name who died in the hospital in or around Atlanta the same year.
