C.C."CHIC" GLASS DIES SUDDENLY OF MENINGITIS

Well Know Produce Company Owner Succumbs Monday, Burial To Be Held Wednesday Afternoon

Campbell Cantrill Glass, 27, known to his friends as "Chic", well known business man of Georgetown, died of influenza meningitis Monday night at 7:45 at the John Graves Ford Memorial hospital, where he was admitted several hours before. He had been ill with pneumonia four days.
Mr. Glass, a native of Woodford county was manager and owner of the Glass Produce Company of Georgetown.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Evelyn Linn Glass, a daughter Miss Jean Camden Glass, an infant son James Cantrill Glass, his mother Mrs. Sam Roberts, Franklin county, and four sisters, Mrs. Harold Barber, Lexington; Mrs Simpson Wilhoite, Washington D.C; Mrs. Minor Anderson, Lancaster, Mrs. Allen Bell, Louisville, and two brothers, Coffman Glass, Chester, Pa., and Kenneth Glass, of Walnut Hall Farm , Fayette county.
Funeral services will be held this ( Wednesday ) afternoon at 4:00 o'clock at Johnson Funeral Home, Dr J.E. Weldon officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. C.T. Duckworth, pastor of the Nazarene church.
Burial will be in the Georgetown Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Gano Burton, Chester Johns, Vernon Woods, Sam Jones, Clarence Stakelin, Frank Sargent.
Honorary bearers will be John Powell, Major Glass, John L. Anderson, F.E. Martin, W.T. Devers, Steve O'Banion.
