Bertha L (Waddle) Icenogle, 75, of Visalia has gone to be with our lord on June 28, 2004, after a lengthy battle with her illness. Bertha was born on Nov 9, 1928 in Gladstone, New Mexico to Charles and Willie Mae Waddle. She was one of twelve children in her family.

Her family made their way from New Mexico to later settle in Woodlake by working in the fields and picking whatever fruit may have been in season. She attended school in Woodlake and later met William Asman of Woodlake and married in 1947. Together they had four children.

She later married Harlen Icenogle who preceded her in death in 1991.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, William Asman, her husband Harlen Icenogle, four brothers, Archie, Bud, Bill and Dick Waddle, and sister Vinnie Thrasher, one grandson, Baby Stuhaan, and two great-grandsons, John Ian Stuhaan and Stephen Cunningham.

Having many lifetime friends, she is survived by her daughters, Diana Stuhaan and better half David Lucero of Visalia; Glenda Benjamin of Visalia; two sons, Albert Asman of Las Vegas and Danny Asman of Washington; two daughters-in-law, Dory Asman of Tehachapi and Heidi Asman of Las Vegas, step-daughter Rachael Johnson of Redding.

Also included are three sisters, Mary Ann Elledge of Stockton, Margaret Jackson of Visalia and Dorothy Martin of Houston, Texas.
