Mrs. Bernice Paker B. Ramsey, 65, died early Monday morning in the Statesboro Nursing Home after an extended illness. The Duval County, Fla., native had lived in Statesboro for the past 41 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Statesboro and had been the Nursery Attendant for 17 years. She was retired from the Accounting Data Processing Department of Georgia Southern College. She was a graduate of Sylvania High School.

Survivors include a son, John P. Barnes, Statesboro; a step-son, Holmes Ramsey, Statesboro; one sister, Betty P. Anderson, Fernandina Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren.

Graveside funeral service and burial for Mrs. Ramsey will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the East Side Cemetery with the Rev. Hugh Davis officiating. Smith-Tillman Mortuary

Memorials may be sent to the Ann Waters Ramsey Scholarship Fund at Georgia Southern College.
