Luther Evan Olinger, age 83 of Warrenton, Va. died on December 16, 2011 at the Fauquier Hospital. Evan was born on October 5, 1928 a son of the late Luther Hamilton Olinger and Katherine Belle Wilson Olinger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings-Louise Grigsby, Juanita Hitt, Becky Huntsman, Mabel McBee, Catherine Ford, John Hamilton Olinger, and Nimrod Cleveland Olinger. He was retired, after 25 years, from Fairfax County. He was a Deacon and longtime member of Barrows Run Primitive Baptist Church, near Opal, Va.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Mary Lee Olinger and one brother Franklin Olinger of Marshall, Va. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton, Va. where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 11 a.m. Interment at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton, Va. Memorial contributions may be made to the Barrows Run Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Carrell Olinger, 347 Cleveland St., Warrenton, VA 20186.
