Maurice Martin Schneider, of rural Sedalia, died Mar 19, 2005, at his home.
Mr Schneider was born May 20, 1926 in Morrison, MO, a Son of Mark Frank and Veronica Nolte Schneider. On May 19, 1951 in Cole Camp, MO he was married to Dorothy Jean Butler.
Mr Schneider was raised and educated in Pettis County. He served in the US Army in WWII in the 5th Calvary and was stationed in Japan. There he worked as a Mess Seargent and a Baker. He attained the rank of Staff Seargent. Mr Schneider worked for Town and Country Shoes for 38 years. He was a registered Angus breeder and held a lifetime membership with the American Angus Association. He received the Pettis County Oldest Angus Breeder Award. Mr Schneider was a member of St John's Catholic Church at Bahner. He enjoyed writing short stories and belonged to the Writers Guild. He enjoyed caring for God's creatures.
Surviving are three sons; Kenny Schneider, Larry Schneider, Anthony Schneider all of Sedalia; two daughters; Winnie Craig of Cole Camp, MO, and Jennifer Kennett of Jerseyville, IL, three sisters; Adelaide Bopp, Leoba Schneider,Hellen Eschbaucher,all of Sedalia; 14 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Mr Schneider is predeceased by one brother George Schneider, one sister, Margaret Woolery and one granddaughter Angela Craig.
Pallbearers were Steve Craig, Jeremy Craig, Jeff Logan, Carl Bopp, Joe Eschbaucher, and Steve Schneider. Honorary pallbearers were Andrew Schneider, Kevin Schneider, Joshua Schneider, Ethan Schneider, Logan Schneider and Travis Fulks.
