Nevils - Mrs. Lounelle Futch Sikes, age 79, died Sunday at her residence following a long illness. The Bulloch County native lived in Savannah for many years before returning to Nevils in 1988. Mrs. Sikes was a homemaker and a member of the DeLoachs Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Herman Sikes of Nevils; a daughter, Cindy Shuman of Nevils; a son, Mickey Sikes of Statesboro; four grandchildren, Jamie Crunkelton of Statesboro, Chris Shuman of Nevils, Shelley Sikes of Savannah and Matt Sikes of Statesboro; a great-grandchild, Ryan Sikes; two brothers, Garris Futch of Claxton and WInburn Futch of Nevils and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Deloachs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
