Merrill's birth parents were Mary Beaber Renner and Henry L Earp. Merrill must have been adopted to Anton Theodore Hansen and Karen Petersen Hansen. They raised him as their own. I found that Merrill's birth father died in 1940. He and his wife Mary (Merrill's mom) divorced in 1904... so it was after that he went with the Hansen's. They moved to Nunn in 1917. I am not sure how long he lived with them prior to that, but according to the 1910 and 1920 Census Merrill was living with them at that time.
