Sarah Jane Crain born 20~April~1844 Fleming Co. Ky and died 10~July~1890 daughter of Samuel and Sarah Jane{Johnson}Crain, both parents were born in Ohio. Anna Mae{Bradley}Wyatt of Platte City, Mo states that her grandmother Sarah Jane Crain was of Indian descent. While a picture of Sarah Jane shows Indian characteristics, she probably was not a full blood.

Three of his children, William Thomas, John Taylor, and George Lucas, who were under 16 years of age at the time of their fathers death, were subsequently pensioned as minors. Records of Sennett Young's service and pension application can be obtained from Nat'l Archives, Washington D.C.
