Middleboro, MA - 94, died peacefully on May 2, 2022 at Hannah BG Shaw Nursing Home in Middleboro, Massachusetts, with her family by her side. She is predeceased by her husband, Sandy Auchinachie and her son, Tim Auchinachie and brother, Dr. Samuel Clipp. She is survived by her daughters, Deb Quelle of Lakeville Massachusetts and Wendy Miller of Melissa,Texas,her grandchildren Mollie Quelle,Ian Quelle, Erica Fouts and Danny Miller, two great grandchildren, Addi and Huddy, sister in law, Ramona Auchinachie and five nephews and one niece, Bette was born in Binghamton, N.Y., however lived most of her childhood years in Pennsylvania, primarily Ardmore. She moved back to Binghamton when she married Sandy, on December 31, 1955, where she lived for the next 60 years, until moving to Massachusetts in 2015. Prior to her marriage she worked as a secretary, and continued to use her shorthand skills to write notes to herself over the years. Bette was a member of the United Presbytarian Church for over 65 years, and also a Deaconess of the church.. She was a proud member of the Monday Afternoon Club for many years. Bette was a homemaker, an avid gardener, had a knack for interior decorating and loved dogs. She had many beautiful perennial gardens over the years, at her homes, as well as at her cottage at Oteyokwa Lake ( where she and Sandy spent summers for 30 years). Her love of dogs was lifelong, always having a dog by her side in her life. She passed this wonderful love of dogs onto her children. Most of all, Bette loved spending time with her family,taking many family vacations over the years. A private burial will take place at Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Donations can be made in Bette's name to the animal shelter of your choosing.
