Egbert passed away at the hospital in Warren, PA. He had lived in Portville (Milgrove) where he owned a farm in the 1930's and was employed as a foreman on a section of the Shawmut Railroad for about 20 years. He was first married to Anna Glady and when she passed away in 1918 he married her sister, Lena. At the time of his death he was survived by one son, Clifford Bell and five step children, Lawrence Smith and I.A. Smith of Olean, NY., Fritz Smith of Ebenezer, Mrs. Blanche Butler of Toledo, OH., and Mrs. Helen Scott of Portville. The funeral was held on July 5, 1943.
