ADAM OBERLANDER, 95, of Mott, ND passed away on September 23, 2005 under the loving care of the Staff of the Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Mott with his wife of nearly 73 years and his children at his side.
ADAM OBERLANDER was born on April 29, 1910 in Havelock, ND to Frederick and Carolina (Kaseman) Oberlander. Adam was a retired farmer, carpenter, school bus driver and "jack of all trades", but he may best be remembered by more than one generation for his quick wit and his love for entertaining children of all ages with his collection of "Toys".
Funeral services for Adam Oberlander, 95, of Mott, ND will be at 10:30 AM, Thursday, Sept. 29th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mott. Pastor Joe Burgess will officiate and interment will be in Sunnyslope Cemetery in Mott. Visitations will be from 1 to 6 pm Wednesday, Sept 28th at Evanson Jensen Funeral Home, Mott and for one hour prior to the service at the church. A Family Service will be held at the church on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. A memorial in lieu of flowers has been established to Mott Good Samaritan Nursing Center.
Grateful for sharing his life are his wife; Clara of Mott, children; Doris (Les) Ross of Mesa, AZ, Arlen (Jackie) Oberlander, Dickinson, ND, Marlene (Ken) Zent, Great Falls, MT, Sherryl (Larry) Heinrich, Mesa, AZ and Rod (Laurie) Oberlander, Camarillo, CA, brother; Harry (Vaudeth) Oberlander, Rapid City, SD, sisters; Ida Sprecher, Mott, Tillie Rosenow, Hettinger, ND, Betty Ruggles, Scranton, ND, Helen (Harvey) Green, Mott and Lorraine (Bill) Bruchner, Easton, MD, eight grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, sixteen step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parent, three brothers, three sisters and one grandson.
