Mrs. Al Hatten Dead.
Mrs. Al Hatten died Wednesday at one o'clock at her home on North First street. She was taken down with typhoid fever eight weeks ago. The fever has been broken for some time ago and she was thought to be safely on the way to recovery. She had been planning to sit up tomorrow. While talking to her two sons, Frank and Tommie, she was stricken with heart failure and passed away in a few minutes.
Funeral services will be held at the Christian church Friday at 10 a.m., conducted by the pastor, Rev. Isom Roberts.
No death that has occurred in Ponca City for a long time is so deeply regretted as that of Mrs. Hatten. She was an ideal mother, wife, friend and neighbor, and she seemed needed in the pleasant home of which she was the center. But the ways of Providence are mysterious and past finding cut, and we can only say that all is for the best.
