Anita Hastings Coon was born March 4, 1916 in Fincastle, Botetourt County, Va. to Otho William Coon Sr. (1880-1944) and Bertha Agnace Hannah (also 1880-1944), both of Va.
Anita Hastings Coon married Hugh Wesley Craft Sept. 11, 1935 in Montgomery County, Va.
She worked in the Accounting Department for Kroger Company and retired after many years of service.
She passed away at the age of 84 on Feb. 10, 2001 in Roanoke County.
Anita was predeceased in death by her husband of 62 years, Hugh Wesley (Bill) Craft.
She is survived by two sisters, Marguerite C. Mount of Roanoke and Bertha Constance Nalls of Roanoke as well as several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service is 3 PM Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001 at Sherwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Carol Johnston officiating.
