Even though Demaris/Demeris was married a second time to D. B. Brown, her gravestone shows Demeris Harrison. So, in order to FIND her grave, the Name on her Memorial Page is Demeris Holmes Harrison.

Demaris Holmes and William A. "Billy" Harrison were married on 08 May 1870 in Laurens Co., GA - they were neighbors. They had at least 12 children. Her first name appears as "Demeris" on her gravestone, also appears elsewhere as "Demaris". She was probably named after "Damaris"(Holy Bible, Acts 17:32-34 KJV).

After William Augustus Harrison's death, Demeris remarried a Mr. D. B. Brown.
