William A. "Billy" Harrison was a Baptist Clergyman and Farmer. Pastor, Shady Grove Baptist Church, Laurens County, GA established 1858. In 1859, he joined church at New Bethel. Early pastor, Pleasant Springs Baptist Church, Oconee District, Laurens County, GA established 1870. Pastor, Blue Springs Baptist Church, Rockledge District, Laurens County, GA established 1875. 05 Mar 1878, he was licensed to preach by the Bethlehem Baptist Church originally in Worthen - now at 335 Bethlehem Church Road, Condor, Laurens County, GA. 14 May 1882, he was ordained by the same Bethlehem Baptist Church.

His parents are Rev. Lewis Jenkins Harrison and Sarah Elizabeth (King) Harrison. Billy and his only wife Demaris (Holmes) Harrison were married on 08 May 1870 in Laurens County, GA - they had been neighbors. They had at least 12 children. The two children missing from the Links below are: Mary Harrison b. c1878 and Lora Harrison b. Jul 1889; married to James William Hester.
