Audrey Humphries, 78, of Stuarts Draft, Went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 after 3 years at Royal Haven Nursing Home in Woodstock.
She was born in Augusta County on September 16, 1933 to the late John W. Maddox and Leslie Maddox.
She retired after many years of service with Hollister in Stuarts Draft.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William N. Humphries and a son, Randall Irvine Sandy.
She is survived by her loving son, Jeffery P. Sandy and his fiancée Walli Van Fossen of Romeo, MI; grandchildren, Jason Sandy of Romeo, MI, Cassy Sandy and her fiancée Jermiel Haliburton of Charlottesville, Tara Cloonan and her husband Clint of Dover, Delaware and Tanya Sandy of Romeo, MI; great grandchildren, Trever, JaDore and Kenyen; Step Daughter, Jackie Bell and a Step Son, William H. Humphries; many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Chapel of Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 961 Goose Creek Road, Fishersville, conducted by The Rev. Daniel Wine, and where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be friends and family attending the services.
Interment will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
