Glenn Call, 81, died Tuesday morning in Bannock Regional Medical Center following an illness.
He was born January 19, 1906 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Willard and Leah Pratt Call. From 1923 until 1927 he served with the Marine Corps.
He married Elsie Viola Ellingford on October 22, 1928 in Idaho Falls, and this marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on June 3, 1964. They made their home in Salt Lake City prior to moving to Idaho 56 years ago. They settled in Idaho Falls for awhile and later moved to Pocatello. Mr. Call retired as a brakeman from the Union Pacific Railroad Company.
He was a high priest in the LDS Church and a former temple officiator. He was also a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Survivors include his wife of Pocatello; three sons, Hal Glenn Call, Pocatello, Karl Ellingford Call, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Daniel Pratt Call, Tooele, Utah; two daughters, Bonnie Anderson, Idaho Falls, and Darlene Cherry, Porterville, California; four brothers, Helaman P., William V., and Hugh Call, all of Salt Lake City, and Parley P. Call, Las Vegas, Nevada; six sisters, Beth Dixon, Payson Utah; Leah Chamberlain, Farmington, Utah, Adelaide Bond, Farmington, New Mexico, and Unetta Rhoades, True Dixon, and Aurora Patterson, all of Salt Lake City; 23 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday at Manning Funeral Chapel with Bishop John Ricks of the Pocatello LDS 23rd Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
