Found in The State 17 January 1959: Mrs. M. S. Jones Dies at Hospital--Mrs. Rachel Baker Jones, 75, of 2213 Marshall Street, died at the Columbia Hospital at 5:45 Friday afternoon after being in declining health for the past several years. She was born in Orangeburg County, the daughter of the late Jesse Baker and Rachel Elizabeth Young Baker. Mrs. Jones, the widow of Mark Sylvester Jones who died June 17, 1958, was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lila M. Willie of Annapolis, Md., and Mrs. Rudy M. Holmes of Columbia; two sons, Harvey S. Jones of Parker, Fla., and Edwin P. Jones of Columbia; one sister, Mrs. Elnora Rowell of DeLand, Fla.; one brother, Robert L. Baker of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a number of Nieces and nephews.
