Service for Price McLauchlin, 76, of Boyd will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Richard Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Boyd Cemetery.
McLauchlin died Thursday, July 11, 2002, in Boyd.
Born March 5, 1926, in Fort Worth, he married Joyce Kelley McLauchlin on June 12, 1949, in Saginaw. He was a custom saddle maker for 51 years. McLauchlin was a member of the National Cutting Horse Association and American Quarter Horse Association. He served on the board of directors for both the North Texas Cutting Horse Association and West Central Texas Cutting Horse Association.
McLauchlin was preceded in death by his son, David McLauchlin in 1986; his parents Wesley Price and Nola (Robbins) McLauchlin; two sisters; and a brother.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce McLauchlin of Boyd; two sons, Lee Price McLauchlin and his wife Dee of Valley View and Stephen Kelley McLauchlin and his wife Lynn of Decatur; a daughter, Donna Fanning of Era; seven grandchildren; two brothers, James of Fort Worth and Fred of Oregon; and two sisters, Juanita Brown and Sadie Eck, both of Tucson, Ariz.
Pallbearers will be Steve McLauchlin, Stephen McLauchlin, Lee McLauchlin, Steven Lee McLauchlin, Wes Fanning, Matt Fanning and Robert Burns.
