Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Strengthford Assembly of God Church in Waynesboro for Mr. Joseph Palmer, Jr., 75, of Waynesboro who passed away December 2, 2011 at Wesley Medical Center. Rev. Brad Maxie and Rev. Robert Lee McLain will officiate at the services with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. until service time at the Strengthford Assembly of God Church in Waynesboro.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Walley, Greg Kirkland, Chris Stinson, Benjamin White, Michael Palmer, T.J. Walley, Kenneth Palmer, Curtis White, Kevin Stinson and Tommy Palmer.
Mr. Palmer was preceded in death by his daughter, Martha Palmer; parents, Joe and Nancy Palmer; two brothers, Ed Palmer and Enoch Palmer; three sisters, Lorene Mosley, Bernice Mozingo and Iva Lee Landrum.
He is survived by his wife, Erma Palmer of Waynesboro; son, Adam Palmer of Waynesboro; four daughters, Ruth Walley of Richton, May Stinson of Sandhill, Betty White of Richton, Cathy Kirkland of Waynesboro; one step daughter, Gayle Pitts of Waynesboro; one sister, Pearlane Ross of Waynesboro; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
