Lupe Casarez Olinger (1939 - 2011)

Lupe Casarez Olinger, 72, of Burleson passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011. Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Waco Memorial Funeral Home in Waco with burial following in Waco Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest near her parents. Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. prior to service.

Lupe was born to the late Romulo and Catalina Casarez on March 4, 1939, in Coolidge. She lived many years in Southern California where she worked and raised her children, later moving to the Fort Worth area. She was a caring person who loved her family, enjoyed life, bingo and casinos. Lupe will be dearly missed by her children, family and close friends. Her children would like to express a special thank-you to the wonderful staff at Hurst Plaza and New Century Hospice for all of their help and care that she received.

Survivors: Sons, Jim Escalante, Ralph Escalante and wife, Ruthie; daughter, Suzanna Escalante Bolman and husband, Dean; brothers, Tony Casarez and Pete Casarez; sisters, Lucy Garcia, Minga Johnson, Mary Tagel and husband, Junior, Della Hernandez; grandchildren, Melissa Robertson and husband, Brandon, Mike Escalante, Lisa Escalante; and great-grandchildren, Noah and Avery.
