R.T. Merriman, of Arlington, TX, who arrived here about 3 weeks ago in answer to a telegram that his mother was dangerously ill, left for his home in the sunny south on Thursday last. There had been but very little change in the condition of his mother. No hope is entertained of her recovery, but her son's business was such that he could not remain here longer.
Later --
Mrs. Merriman died at 2 o'clock yesterday morning. She was interred in the Thomas Cemetery today.
