Perryopolis
Jacob Helterbran died last Sunday after a lingering illness of consumption. The remains were interred at Mt Washington cemetery on Tuesday. Very appropriate services were conducted by Rev A E Hustead of the Methodist Episcopal Church.

Jacob S Helterbran, of Perryopolis, died Sunday, February 5, 1888. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 o'clock after which his remains were taken to Mt Washington cemetery, followed by a large concourse of friends. The deceased was about 54 years of age and leaves a wife and eight children. He was an active member of the Methodist church and a true christian.


Note: With a few exceptions, the Helterbran family are buried with no markings of any kind. There are several lots next to the stones for John and George, who do have headstones, but no stones were ever placed on various other family members.
