Ruby E. Hunsaker, 82, Ephrata, a former Quincy resident, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 1998, at Columbia Basin Hospital in Ephrata.

She was born on Aug. 20, 1915, to Emmit and Myrtle (Edge) Carey at Bryant, Mo. She attended grade school in Bryant and graduated from high school in Ava, Missouri.

She married Harmond Hunsaker at her parents' home on November 30, 1930, in Bryant.

They moved to the Entiat area in about 1942 and to Grandview in 1956, before moving to Quincy in 1968, where they resided until moving to Ephrata in January 1994.

Mrs. Hunsaker is survived by her husband, Harmond of Ephrata; her sons, Roy Hunsaker of Moxee, Carey Hunsaker of Washougal and Curtis Hunsaker of Quincy; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are by Scharbach's Columbia Funeral Chapel, Quincy.



Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 1998 at 10:30 a.m. from the Church of the Nazarene in Quincy. Officiating will be Pastor John Becknell. Concluding services and interment will follow in the Quincy Valley Cemetery. Scharbach's Columbia Funeral Chapel in Quincy in charge of arrangements.
