Earnest was born on June 26, 1935, to Newton and Ruby Hunsaker, about four miles from Ava, Missouri, in a log house, where his mother was born.
They moved to Washington State when he was six years old, remained there until 1951, when they moved back to a farm outside of Mansfield, Missouri. After he finished school, he headed back to Washington, but went back in 1954, to marry June Richards.
Two days after the wedding, they headed for Entiat, Washington. They lived in several places in Washington, including Wenatchee, Puyallup, Grandview, Wapato, Wiley City, West Valley and Moxee. Three children were born through all those moves, Dan (1957). Brad (1958), and Stacy (1962).
He worked in fruit, a bulb farm and warehouse in Puyallup, until 1961, when he went to work for Glascam Builders, in Yakima, as a painter. After eight years, he started his own painting business, Hunsaker Painting. He retired in 1998.
He accepted the Lord in 1970, and was a member of Terrace Heights Baptist Church since 1970.
He is survived by three children, Dan, Brad (Kari), and Stacy (John), all of Moxee, seven grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two great-great-granddaughters, brother, Edward Carey (Gevaughn), four nephews, and four nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Newton and Ruby, brother, Curtis, and grandson, Jeramy Hunsaker.
