Alex A. Wiesen of near Sheridan, a former resident of Scandinavia, died last Wednesday at St. Agnes' hospital at Fond du Lac, following an illness of two weeks.
Mrs. (sic) Wiesen, a son of Katherine Wallace and Matthew Wiesen, was born at the Wiesen homestead near Scandivnavia on January 9, 1877. His marriage to Miss Clara Krostue of Sacandinavia took place on October 29, 1902. During their early married life the couple moved to a farm near Sheridan where they since lived with the exception of two years spent at Waupaca.
Surviving are his wife, three children, Bert of Sheridan, Mrs. A. B. Kreeges and Mrs. Minor Wilson of Waupaca, his step-mother and several sisters and brothers.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the family home and at the Farmington Lutheran church. Dr. O. O. Sovda officiated and interment took place in the Farmington Lutheran cemetery.
