Adeline Schlosser Roane, 85, of the 6300 block of Tappahannock Drive, died April 15, 2004, in her residence. Mrs. Roane was born in New Haven, Conn. and was the daughter of the late George and Gertrude Haywood Schlosser and the widow of Eppa Hunton Roane Jr.
She was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church and Eggleston Services, the Norfolk Senior Center and the Bayview Senior Center and she was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post No. 392, Virginia Beach. She was a longtime volunteer with Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk chapel, today from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Eggleston Services, 1161 Ingleside Road, Norfolk, VA 23502.
