Funeral
The funeral of John B. Beard, a member of the Board of County Commissioners, who died in Williamsport Monday night, was held at 3:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the home with many citizens of the community, in which he was held in high esteem, and members of the Board of Commisions and county officials attending. The services were conducted by the Rev. W. C. Huddle, pastor of the Lutheran church of which Mr. Beard was an official for a number of years. The floral tributes were numerous and beautiful. The pallbearers were personal friends of Mr. Beard and the family. Burial was in Riverview cemetery.
