Elizabeth is listed as heir of Johannes in the court records of Muhlenberg County, Kentucky indenture for Mary Ferguson widow of Joshua Ferguson 27 June 1844. In this document Elizabeth is stated to be married to a man whose last name is Martin. The first name is not given and the only real possibility is John Martin who is in the 1799 tax list of Muhlenberg as new young man with no land. If he just joined the tax list for the first time this year he would be 21 and would put his birth at 1778 this would be a perfect age range for Elizabeth Sears. However at this point we only know she married a Martin and not who. The early Martin family of two famous preachers George and David Martin were in the communities with the Sears so most likely her husband is related to these lines.
