INGLESIDE, TEXAS - Abel G. Villarreal,71, passed away April 28, 1998 in an Aransas Pass hospital. He was a member of LULAC Council #630 in Aransas Pass, Texas, V.F.W. Post 2932 in Aransas Pass, and a member of the San Ignacio Cemetery Association.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Fernando Villarreal, Gonzalo Villarreal; two sisters, Carmen Villarreal and Maria Flores.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Ofelia D. Villarreal of Ingleside; one son, Rene D. Villarreal of Ingleside, Texas; one daughter, Nora O. Villarreal of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sisters, Elvira (Cecilio) Jimenez of Ingleside, Josephina Hinojosa of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Beatrice (Delio) Gonzales of Ingleside; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A prayer service will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday April 29, 1998 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be at Primera Iglesia Bautista El Buen Pastor Church in Aransas Pass, Texas on Thursday April 30, 1998 at 10:00 a.m.

Burial will follow in San Ignacio Cemetery in Ingleside, Texas.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Hinojosa Jr., Amado Vasquez, Roger Koss, David Perez, Joseph Soltys, and Reymundo Linares.
