Katharine Beasley was the oldest child of Hewett Anderson and Florence Diggs Beasley. She married Howard Shock and for many years she was an organist and choir director for a big Episcopal church in Brooklyn NY. When she retired, she and Howard moved to the small town of Crisfield Maryland. One of her students was involved with Saint Jude's Children's Ranch in Boulder City Nevada. Katharine arranged for her ashes and her husband's ashes to be shipped to Saint Jude's for inurnment. She and Howard gave their estate to their nine nieces and nephews (8 of hers and one of his)
