(following info by William Chisholm) - Elijah Tribble applied for Rev. War pension Aug. 13. 1833 in Jackson Co, Al. Pension Application # R10700.
Elijah was drafted into the NC militia during the spring of 1779. He served as a Pvt. under Capt. Richard Allen. In Dec of 1779 he was marched from Wilkes Co, NC to Charleston, SC and there attached to the regiment of Col. Wade Hampton. He was discharged March 24, 1780. He was again drafted serving under Capt. Abram Denniss. He served in Col Benjamin Clevelands' Regiment. He was called out again under Maj. Francis Hartgraves' NC Troop to subdue Col. Fannin, the Troy leader. He was allowed a pension, Cert. No. 25777 issued Jan. 2, 1834.
Elijah lived in SC, TN, AL, NC, and VA.
