She was a daughter of the late Sam Thomas and Victoria (Bray) Walden and the wife of the late Smith H. Hays of the Sulphur Lick Community. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tompkinsville. Survivors are three daughters Eva Bybee, Ruby Shirley and Opal Emberton.There are 20 grandchildren 34 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Two sons, Travis and Kenneth Hays and two daughters, Clora Eubank and Edna Bowles, all preceded her in death. She was a housewife.
