A family history indicates he may have helped design the ramparts of Quebec City.

Sadly his first two wives died due to the aftermath of childbirth. His final wife, my ggg-aunt, survived him as did their daughter but for some reason they were left destitute. She applied for funds as a military wife to return to England or Ireland but was refused.
