He was a lifelong member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church and until his retirement had been engaged in farming in that commnunity. His wife, Mrs. Helen Holland Culbreath, died in 1950.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. M. W. Roper of Columbia; two sons, H. C. Culbreath of Greenville and E. C. Culbreath Jr. of Johnston; one brother, P. H. Culbreath of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted today at 11 a.m. from the graveside in Mt. of Olives Cemetery in Johnston.
