Obituary in the Lufkin Daily News, Feb. 8, 1929
Mrs. L. E. Baird, 72 years old, pioneer resident of Angelina County, died Thursday afternoon at the Angelina County Hospital. Her home was at Huntington and she was removed to the hospital here for treatment several days ago.

Mrs. Baird became a resident of the county at the age of 16, the family at that time settling at Keltys. Her husband died 7 years ago at Huntington, where he was in business.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Huntington Baptist Church, Rev. Jeff Rhodes of the Baptist church there officiating. She was a life-long member of that church. Burial was in the Huntington Cemetery, under the direction of Glenn Undertaking Co.

She is survived by 6 daughters: Mrs. F. L. Dunham, Mrs. Bertie Gill, Mrs. W. D. Ivy and Mrs. Ross Jones, all of Huntington, and Mrs. J.T.M. Hall of Naples and Miss Lila Baird of Huntington. She has 1 sister, Mrs. Bettie Rosch of Trinity.Mrs L E Beaird
