Perry S. McCorkell, 80, of 324 Eureka Avenue, Lodi, California, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 1972, in a local hospital following a short illness. A native of Akron, Iowa, he worked for the Towa Highway department for 35 years until his retirement in 1956 and moved to Lodi, Calif. in 1958 where he did part-time work for the city disposal department. He was an avid sports fan. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Lodi.

Survived by his wife, Ruth McCorkell, of Lodi; a son, Leonard K. McCorkell, of Lodi; three daughters, Mrs. Ethyl T. Hoffman of Roseville, Calif., Mrs. Irene 0. Munger, of Stockton, Calif., and Mrs. Neva M. Hoffman, of North Highlands, Calif.; two brothers, Clair McCorkell, of Akron, Iowa, and Leslie McCorkell, of North Sioux City, S.D.; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Herzig, of Le Mars, Iowa; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Friday afternoon, March 10, in the Chapel of the Gierhart & Wells Funeral Home, Rev. Paul Donavan officiating. Interment was in Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery.
