Services for A.J. Marcy, 68, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, at the Ford Chapel of First Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. John Ballard. Interment will be in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home. A.J. died Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, at Covenant Medical Center.
He was born to the late Zed and Etta Marcy Oct. 24, 1934, in Woodrow. He married Earline Lester Feb. 22, 1976, in Lubbock. He graduated from Lubbock High School in 1953 and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He owned and operated Family Dry Cleaners for 22 years before his retirement.
