Services for Earline Ann White Lester Marcy, 84, of Lubbock will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Monterey Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sanders Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.
Earline passed away December 22, 2016. She was born September 30, 1932 in Pampa, Texas to Ollie and Lucille (Tipps) White. She graduated from Amarillo High School and attended Amarillo College. She married Charles Arthur Lester on June 21, 1952 in Amarillo. They moved to Lubbock where Earline was employed with SPS. Earline married AJ Marcy on February 20, 1976 in Lubbock. They owned and operated Family Cleaners for over twenty years. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church and later a member of Monterey Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, AJ, and sisters, Hazel Celey and Virginia Baker Chisum. Loved ones include daughter, Susan Lynn (Lester) Houtchens and husband Rod; son Charles Steven Lester and wife Liz; grandchildren, Brent Houtchens, Heather (Houtchens) Nelson, Christopher Lester, and Sarah (Lester) Beard; great-grandchildren, Ty Houtchens, Hunter Nelson, Shelby Nelson, Cora Lester, Caleb Lester, and Cannon Beard; and several nieces and a nephew.
