Through efforts by contributor/researcher Linda Wallis of Savannah in 2011, and cemetery had at that time a rep on Saturday and Sunday giving tours, etc. and also allowed Linda to access the WPA pre-1938 burial records for Bonaventure and Laurel Grove and lot numbers for all the city cemeteries but not the complete records held in the office. What Linda learned is that Bernhardine was born in Germany and died at her residence at 1921 Bull Street, Savannah-The Gingerbread House-presumably living with her husband and children there.
