A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 10:00a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Joseph, MI, with Pastor Michael Roth officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Visitation is on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, St. Joseph, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association.
Nancy was born September 4, 1946 in Benton Harbor, MI, to Norman and Marjorie (Phairas) Klug. On December 11, 2005 she married Randy Dechert. Nancy was a supervisor of food services at Lakeland Hospital for over 31 years. She was a life member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Nancy's interests included crocheting blankets and afghans, watching sports-especially her beloved Chicago Cubs, and she also loved flowers.
Nancy is survived by her husband Randy; her brother-Norman (Shelley) Klug of Berrien Springs, MI; two sisters-Elizabeth (Larry) Page of Washington and Cynthia Klug of Colorado; five nieces-Ursula, Jennifer and Stephanie, Kristina, Lacey; seven nephews-Eric, Howard, Chris, Grant, Logan, Kyle and David; her mother-in-law Grace Dechert; and her sisters-in-law Pam and Sue. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents-Norman and Marjorie, and her father-in-law Earl Dechert.
